About Nenggao
Located on Xikang Road (Puli Old Street) in Puli Township, Nantou County, "Nengao Club" was originally established as a recreational club for the Japanese military. It was later remodeled by Dr. Tong Mu-Sheng into a medical clinic and private residence. Today, it stands as the only surviving privately owned Japanese-style wooden structure in the Greater Puli area.
Through the unique vision of six architects and a meticulous seven-year restoration process, this historic estate has been transformed into a modern Japanese-style guesthouse where heritage seamlessly blends with contemporary living space. Currently managed by Puli's local team, "Shun Qi Zi Ran (545bike)," the property proudly showcases the power of a new era—one driven by community co-creation and the passing of the torch from old to new.
Here, you can unwind and immerse yourself in the charming local atmosphere of Puli, while experiencing firsthand the historical imprints left within the fabric of this beautiful building.

All guest rooms at Nengao Club feature traditional Japanese tatami mats with comfortable futon mattresses. For your convenience, our staff will fully prepare and set up your bedding (turndown service) prior to your arrival.
